If you’re anything like me, life doesn’t always follow your perfect timeline. I made a very last-minute decision to walk away from a job I loved and had been at for almost a decade so I could stay home and raise my newborn son. I knew I wanted to be fully present for him… but I also needed something that allowed me to contribute financially and tap into the creative part of myself that I wasn’t ready to lose.
That’s how my business came to life — one nap time at a time.
I started designing Canva templates, invitations, and printables to sell online as a way to support my family and quickly fell in love with the creative process. To my surprise, what started as a shot-in-the-dark side hustle, quickly grew into something bigger than I imagined. In less than a year, I celebrated my first month bringing in $1500 in total sales — proof that taking a leap of faith can really pay off. It’s only continued to grow since and I thank God every day for it.
I realized that if I could grow a successful business by working just a few hours a day while my son napped, then I could teach others to do the same. That’s how Fox & Fern Templates became a space to share inspiration, tutorials, and practical tips for anyone who wants to make invitations and printables that look professional and feel truly special. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re ready to level up your creative skills, you’ll find step-by-step guides, trending design ideas, and insider tips to help bring your visions to life.
My goal is simple: to make designing fun, approachable, and something you can feel proud of.
